to crosscheck
Hi guys,

I found Crosscheck a couple days ago searching for a DOM I can use
inside of Rhino. I was a little surprised to see the Java
implementation, but eventually I found Charles blog talking about a
return to Javascript[1].

The only other DOM in Rhino I'd seen was John Resigs weekend hack
towards making a Javascript DOM implementation[2]. Charles I saw you
had some back and forth conversation with John there.

My immediate interest is in getting Dojo.DTL working. Crosscheck
appears mainly intended for unit test behavior; I'd like to use DOM in
Rhino for rendering. None the less, I wanted to drop by and say hello
and see if there's any interest if I pick up John's Javascript DOM
work in bringing it into the Crosscheck-back-to-javascript-folds.

Rektide,

Yes, with the latest releases of rhino (>= 1.7) we can now do the things
that before required core parts of the system to be written in java.

We would totally be interested in you participating in the project. I've
been using the old version of crosscheck and since the (mostly) pure js
implementation has not progressed to fulfil my needs, I have not been
working on it very much.

I've put the sourcecode on github, where it should be a bit easier to
work with. I'm thinking of also putting it on launchpad.net, but we'll see.

Anyway, have a look see, or stop by on #crosscheck on freenode and we
can chat.

cheers,
Charles
