Hello to all fans of Cross VT Trail Association!  In light of damage caused by Hurricane Irene, we advise trail users to not use ANY section of the CVT for at least another 24 hours, so that floodwaters have a chance to recede.  Even then, please proceed with extreme caution on ANY section of the CVT - numerous road washouts exist, and some trail sections may be undermined or severely damaged.  We will post an update as soon as we can assess the conditions.  If you see a section of the CVT that is damaged or needs repair, please contact us.  In the meantime, the CVTA extends its heartfelt sympathy to all who have been affected by Hurricane Irene.
