JUNE 2, 2012 NATIONAL TRAILS DAY EVENTS

 

Saturday, June 2, 2012: National Trails Day 2012 in Newbury

•        Location: Blue Mountain Union School, Newbury, VT

•        Time: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (volunteers needed!)

•        Details: National Trails Day in the Wells River Conservation area. Meet at Blue Mt. Union. Help cut back brush and clear blowdowns.

•        Lunch provided by the ladies of the Grange. Sponsored by Newbury Conservation Commission

Saturday, June 2, 2012: National Trails Day 2012 in Plainfield

•        Location: Meet at the Plainfield Park and Ride just past the fire station. We will travel to the work site from there.

•        Time: 9:00 AM - NOON (volunteers needed!)

•        Details: Cleaning up the trail for summer season.

What to bring

•        Rakes, shovels, loppers, wheel barrows

•        Sturdy footwear with non-slip soles

•        At least two bottles of water & snacks.

•        Your own gloves if you want gloves that fit.

•        Clothes for the weather that you don't mind getting dirty.

 

What CVTA Provides

•        Skilled project leader on-site

•        Teach work skills and safe practices.

•        Lots of tools for folks to use (but bring you own if you have a favorite!)
