I'm having an issue just getting CropPlanning running. Windows XP
Home. 2Gig of RAM. New version of Java freshly installed. I
download, extract to it's own folder, double click the icon...then
nothing. The windows sound effect for a failed process is heard at
that point. Is there a log being written somewhere I can look at to
troubleshoot?

Oh, just saw this message after my off-list reply. You can try to open
a command window (Start > Run > cmd.exe) and run the program from
there. You'll have to change directory to the program folder (use the
"cd <folder name>" command; you can just drag the folder from Explorer
onto the command window and it should copy the folder path name.)
Once in that folder, you can run the program by typing
"CropPlanning.exe" and it *should* spit out some error messages.

Also, it's worth trying to restart the computer to make sure that the
new Java install has worked its way out to where it should be.

RAM isn't the issue.

Let me know if it doesn't work out and we'll try something else.
