Good afternoon, everyone. It's been a while since I've mass e-mailed everyone, and I'm kind of not sure who is in which group, so I figured I'd just send them to all of the Crooklyn groups. As some of you may know, I kind of missed the boat on the late winter indoor leagues that we've played in before, so I wanted to get a bit of a head start on the Spring leagues.
I'm waiting on the league to announce the locations and dates (they said it would be announced late February), but I also spoke with Ioannis and he wanted to know if there was any interest in doing the Brooklyn Bridge Park league. I wanted to see what your thoughts were on the matter. I'm thinking the choices are sticking with the NY Coed league for the spring and going for one of the Thursday or Friday Williamsburg leagues (not sure yet if there will be both indoor and outdoor), or joining the BBP league. The main difference, aside from location, would be that the BBP league would be 9 v 9 (as opposed to the 7 v 7 in NY Coed) and that one would only be on Thursdays. Also, the BBP league starts at the end of March (for those in the Saturday league right now, that would mean probably a 2 or 3 week overlap). I have no idea when the NY Coed League starts.
From what Ioannis made it sound like, we can get a spot in the Brooklyn Bridge Park league without much of an issue, and registration opens next week. So that one has a bit more of urgency since that deadline is coming up.
Basically, if you want the TL;DR version, would you guys want to go for the Brooklyn Bridge Park league on Thursdays and sign up next week, or wait and see what the deal is with the NY Coed Spring leagues when they hopefully announce details later this month. Let me know what you think!
