Saturday Baruch League Info

Good afternoon, people. I'm going to hit up some basic info that I probably went over before, but I also have a few new things. So let's get started. 

First order of business. I'm pretty sure I heard from everyone in terms of who's in and who isn't. I'm e-mailing everyone for one last thread before whittling down the list so people sitting out don't get bombarded with the weekly headcounts and whatnot. Also, it'll give anyone who hasn't chimed in a chance to join. Now that I think about it, that's not really an order of business as it is a simple note. Oh well.

Moving on. Introductions! We have a new member joining this season. Courtesy of Aline's brother's friend's nephew's cousin's former roommate (or something like that), we will be joined by Christina to help the ladies out. On behalf of Crooklyn, welcome! I promise future e-mails from me won't be this wordy.

Next up. Registration. Most of you all know the drill. To register for the team (and to not leave me alone on the site as a one-man team), here's the link. Just click, pay, and sign up (Christina, I'm not sure how the process works for new members, but you should be able to register from the link. If not, just create a profile at nycoedsoccer.com and then go through the link above. If you have any trouble, let me know).

As the more astute members of the team might have noticed, we're going for individual registrations as opposed to the team fee. This was done since it seemed like everyone was on board for a full season, plus we didn't have the numbers at the time for it to have been cost-effective. I'll try to get the team fee for the next tournament when we should have some more people on board. For now, though, it'll be $145 per person, and we'll get at least 8 games. At least, since I'm confident we'll get to the finals this time. After all, we're playing for cake. Or whatever dessert you guys want. As long as it isn't puff-pastry related.

Also, goalie. We still need one. Anyone want to volunteer and put up a craigslist post or something? I posted a quick message on the league site but haven't heard anything. Still have some time, but if we can get a goalie sooner than later, that would be great.

Lastly, start date. Still unknown, unfortunately. Once it's picked, I'll spread the word. That's all for now! Can't wait to get back out there!

The league supposedly is going to start either November 9th or on the 16th. No word yet on which date.

Also, anybody have any luck with finding a keeper? I'm going to e-mail the league to see if they can help out, but let me know if you guys find someone. Also, no update yet on the start date for the league. Let's assume it starts next Saturday on the 9th, though, if that helps. That's all for now. I'll let you guys know if there are any updates. Till then, keep on...keep trucking, you know?

We have 4 ladies so far. I think that's been good in the past, but it's up to the 4 of you if you want another sub or not.
