Locales only for admin panel

Hi there,

I'm trying to translate my Croogo website to german. Therefore i downloaded the default "deu" Locale, uploaded and activated it from the admin panel. Then i added a new Language "German | Deutsch | deu" and moved it to the top.
Now the whole admin panel shows up in german, but not the website itself.

I added some translations to the locale file but don't get german outputs:

msgid "Welcome"
msgstr "Willkommen"
msgid "About"
msgstr "Über"

What did i forget?

Using firefox 17 with default language [de-ch]

I have same this trouble, my solution is change file default.po to croogo.po and save in

app\Locale\deu\LC_MESSAGES
