Thanks for responding...I fixed the problem. I figured it was missing some of its bits from the first download because it got interrupted during the process. Native Access was stuck in a permanent loop of trying to install, even the next when I turned my computer back on... So I deleted it and then deleted what I had download before. Then I redownloaded it and the library again. ( 5 and a half hrs ). This time it installed perfectly. Instllation only took 15 min... Kontakt 7 is really a worhwhile purchase, or in my case upgrade. That orchestra from Orchestral Tools is Great!
I have attempted to install library 2 for kontakt . I already have library from kontakt 6 on the same external ssd. There is plenty of room. I have my defaul path for kontakt pointed at the proper external ssd.
I had already done that. The application location is left as default, the download location is on a separate SSD with over 1 tb of space and the contents location is on a brand new 1tb external usb c SSD. I finally got the aforementioned library to fully install yesterday after many attempts and days of trying. There was an obvious issue with either Native Access 2 or possibly the server corrupting the downloads. I had failed downloads with many of the other Komplete 14 products and 4 or 5 other failed installations that eventually installed after 2 or 3 attempts.
Took me many attempts to get the same library installed. Very frustrating for a 40gb file. Have you tried deleting the .iso file from the download folder and remove any partial files from the content folder and then Native Access 2 should give you the option to re-download and install again.
Basically NA downloads the content to one of my drives.. Native Access then fails to install.. so I install it the old fashion way assigning the content to the proper folder NA is looking for... Once it is installed I go back into NA and press the Locate button.... it finds the proper pathway and then says success` its installed ... But yet it really isnt... Because when I load Kontakt 7 within my Daw and click on an instrument within Kontakt 7 library 2 .. it gives me that wonderful notification `this instrument belongs to a library that is not installed ... EEESHHHH
Not sure how to interpret this. Did the number of instruments in K6 get smaller? Is more file compression being used? I see that the new K6 library has 15 files with nkx extensions, most of them just under 2Gb each, and that don't have corresponding files in the K4 library? Are these larger files somehow related to the overall size reduction?
Just bear in mind before you bin your K4 instruments that in the K6 library the samples are now encrypted so you can't edit them. And if space is an issue you can always save K4 instruments compressing the samples yourself.
To get your free copy of the Kontakt Factory Selection library, simply add Komplete Start to your Native Instruments account. The free Komplete Start bundle contains Kontakt Player, Kontakt Factory Selection, Play Series Selection, and other music production software goodies.
Kontakt Play Selection is another free Kontakt library from Native Instruments. It is based on a selection of presets from three different libraries: Analog Dreams, Ethereal Earth, and Hybrid Keys. Kontakt Play Selection contains 10 presets from each library.
As we already mentioned, the easiest way to get Kontakt Play Selection is to add the Komplete Start bundle to your Native Instruments account. You can then use the Native Access license manager to download and install the library.
The third free Kontakt library by Native Instruments is called Kinetic Treats. It is based on a collection of toy samples. The sampled source sounds were used to create more complex patches with the help of some clever processing powered by the Kontakt engine.
The 88E is a free experimental piano library for Kontakt Player. It is based on an idea by Mattias Krantz, who tuned every piano note to E and then used a giant cover to press all piano keys at the same time (playing the same note).
Impact Soundworks used a similar concept for The 88E library but with a more flexible approach. This virtual piano can play other notes, too, and comes with various adjustments. You can customize the envelope, transpose the keys, apply pitch bending, change the microphone position, and more.
The library was free for a while, but a recent update introduced Kontakt Player compatibility. This means that you can simply install it and use it with the free Kontakt Player plugin without any workflow restrictions.
Soniccouture is offering a selection of free Kontakt libraries in the Free Stuff section of their website. After signing up for a free Soniccouture account, new users will receive the serial numbers required for library activation in Native Access.
At the moment, Sonniccouture is offering six free Kontakt libraries: Choir Horns, RMI Rocksichord, Thunder Drum, Music Boxes, Tube Drum, and Tape Choir. Each library comes with a customized interface for fine-tuning and manipulating the sampled sounds.
Every once in a while, you need to spice up a song with an unusual sound or an obscure instrument. Hurdy Gurdy by Sonokinetic is exactly that, a free Kontakt library that provides a unique sonic texture.
Diamond Jazz Trio is a free Kontakt library that consists of a piano, alto saxophone, and double bass. It is a stripped-down version of the Diamond Jazz Orchestra library which features an entire orchestra.
The library also includes two alto saxophone patches. First is an experimental patch with a loopable sustain and a crescendo triggered upon key release. The second features four reverb types and nice legato transitions.
Arcane by Embertone is both a game and a sound library. Fully compatible with Kontakt Player, Arcane will require you to play a puzzle game before accessing its sounds. There are five instruments to unlock, and one bonus instrument is offered as a prize after all the puzzles have been solved. This bonus instrument is a beautiful alto vocal legato patch that is well worth unlocking.
The crossgrade method reportedly works with the Arcane library by Embertone. Multiple users have reported that they could access the Kontakt crossgrade offer as soon as Arcane was added to their Native Instruments account.
When Factory Library is installed, 2 different folders are present, non of them lead to Factory library 2 correctly, one of them has got no thumbnail image, and this one leads to various instruments inside the 'Beats' folder only.
For a while now I have noticed that the Factory Library 2 is not showing in the browser. If I navigate to the file locations, I can load it. What am I missing here? Has the 2nd library been merged with the first, as the original factory library is shown in the left panel.
I'm having the same issue as the OP. I am getting the "Incompatible Files" message when I import some of my folders (Imperfect Samples Pianos) using the procedures for importing custom libraries. After that, while they show up in the list of imported libraries in the import window, the folders do not show in the library view.
Same issue here. Any response to this problem. I have several 8Dio libraries. Some can be added and some display encompatible files. Checked all the library folders and they are all configured the same
I solved one problem. Read the manual on this and for the libraries that display "Incompatible Files" I performed a batch re-save on them and now they appear in the browser after adding them following batch resave. I also successfully created images for all of my libraries and placed them in the NI Resource, Image folder as sub folders for each instrument. Only two issues left to solve. on Adding a library, getting the "Duplicate Path Found" but the library does not show up in the installed library box. an the folder is not displayed in the Browser. There has to be some folder somewhere where the information is stored?? Last thing is that following the instructions for adding pictures to the folders in the Browser for third party libraries sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I have 8Dio Adagio Strings. Added folders and images for Adagio Basses, Adagio Cellos, Adagio Violas and Adagio Violins. the only folder to show the picture is the Adagio Violas. Do not understand as the exact naming conventions are used for all four?? Any ideas what is wrong. I have found that the Image folder does not pike the word "Library" in the title. For example, Cantus Library won't show the picture, but Cantus does!
Hello, I have a big problem (actually there are 2 problems which can be correlated). When loading, for example, Session Guitarist - Electric Sunburst Deluxe, the whole DAW freezes for about 2 minutes. Then everything is ok until the next time the library is loaded. I made batch re-save, enabled samples loading in background and tried to switch multicore processing to off. Nothing works, it still hangs the DAW for a long time. What is the reason for that? Most other libraries load without that freezing.
Another problem: when using Studio One, while loading the project with kontakt plugins, the loading screen also freezes on "Loading Control Surface". And it also takes on the average 2 minutes per plugin instance. So when I have 10 kontakt plugins, it takes 20! minutes to just load the project. And this problem probably occurs with all libraries, not just Electric Sunburst.
