Dear friends,
The world’s major powers just agreed to a historic framework nuclear deal with Iran. It’s great news for all of us who believe in non-proliferation, peace, and the power of diplomacy. But now the U.S. Congress is about to vote on a bill that could blow the deal apart.
Just about everybody is on board for peace from the governments of the US and Iran, to France, the UK, Germany, Russia and China. But on April 14, Congress will vote to enable itself to destroy any deal that President Obama makes -- even if every government supports it!
It’s crazy and dangerous -- and the best way to stop this recklessness is to show that the world is united behind the deal. Let’s send a clear message from the world to Congressional leadership in Washington: Please don’t screw this up for the rest of us.

The world has come remarkably close to war over Iran’s nuclear program. In 2012, the US was so worried that Israel would bomb Iran that US Central Command tracked the moon and weather patterns to guess which night the strike would happen. Now, remarkably, years of negotiations between the US and Iran are on the cusp of finishing an historic agreement to prevent war and nuclear proliferation.
But Republicans in the US congress, and a few Democrats, along with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu are still trying to sabotage an agreement by adding conditions and caveats they know will torpedo final negotiations. And amazingly, despite their fierce criticism they have offered no alternative plan except more sanctions and war. These men and women are entitled to their own views but they need to know where where stand, particularly when global security is on the line.
Sign to show your support for the nuclear deal now. When enough of us have signed to show the world backs diplomacy not more Middle East war, we’ll deliver our call directly to leaders in Congress:
