Kadijevic: Vukovar Was Won With Minimum Losses
Former Yugoslavia was cracked from the outside, greatest culprits were
foreign masters, Germany and the Vatican primarily, Kadijevic says.

People`s Army (JNA) and paramilitary units on Croatian city of Vukovar
in 1991, Veljko Kadijevic, said in an interview for NIN weekly that
according his beliefs today, Vukovar was conquered in 1991 with
minimum possible losses.
-Battle with the majority of the Croatian army and paramilitary that
existed was waged in Vukovar and conquering Vukovar was a task that
was performed in a somewhat longer period, but with minimum possible
losses- Kadijevic said.
"Vatican sponsored Croatian army"
-Vukovar is not only Vukovar. As Vukovar was conquered, the backbone
of the Croatian army was broken and this opened the path towards
Zagreb for us to liberate barracks blocked by Croats and the defeat in
Vukovar was a factor that made Tudjman [first Croatian president
Franjo Tudjman] agree to Vance`s plan. This was not only Vukovar, this
was the majority of the army- Kadijevic said, adding that Vukovar
could not be conquered in a different way but from door to door, as
well as the fact that Vukovar was defended by the most elite army that
Croatia had at the time, i.e. people from west Herzegovina, who
Tudjman called the most Croatian part of Croatia.
Kadijevic also said that he is living like a refugee in Russia.
Croatian initiative for him to be trialled before The Hague Tribunal
is nothing unexpected for him.
-It is well-known, and we have a saying, "Get the thief". There, this
is the answer- Kadijevic said in the interview. He also said former
Yugoslavia was cracked from the outside, i.e. greatest culprits were
`foreign masters`, Germany and the Vatican primarily.
Referring to the speech of Croatian president at the time, Franjo
Tudjman, in 1992, Kadijevic accuses Croatia for the war, claiming that
he personally saw documents which clearly state that Vatican has
placed 5 billion dollars at Tudjman`s disposal for the armament of his
paramilitary.
