The municipality covers 26 villages on the coast of river Korana which flowing from the Plitvice lakes and waterfalls formed underground lakes in Nova Krslja, and so connecting the economic and social life of the Plitvice Lakes and Rakovica. Through Rakovica passes the main road from Zagreb through Karlovac and Plitvice Lakes to the Adriatic Sea, with a branch to Bihac in Bosnia and Herzegovina. House Jelena is located in Seliste Dreznicko on the state road D1, 5 km from the entrance to National Park Plitvice Lakes.
