Moroccan Americans in NY/Morocains Unis are reaching out to all of our brothers and sisters for help with a very important project. As some of you know, there are many villages in Morocco, mainly in the Atlas Mountains, that have been hit with very severe weather. The families in these villages are quite poor and are in desperate need of all kinds of clothing around the year...

We will be conducting a clothing drive to help these families and ask that you reach into your hearts and your closets and give as much as you can. Arrangements have already been made for the storage, transport, and distribution of the items to those in need. All that is required is the product!

The items that are needed most are: coats, socks, hats, gloves, shoes, blankets, an other warm clothing for all ages, infant through adult...Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated..

Members of the group will be located this weekend on 2/11 and 2/12 from 11am-5pm across from P.C. Richard's on the corner of 35th Ave. and Steinway in Astoria with a drop box for donations. This is the first of several organized collections and we hope to see you there! PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!!!!

*** If you are unable to make it to the scheduled collection but would like to donate, please contact the following members to inquire about other collection dates or to arrange a separate drop-ff/pick-up. Also contact us if you are not local but would still like to donate.

Jazak Allah khayr brother Zakaria for your kind reminder. I have about 10 to 12 bags of clothes that I will send with brother Abdeljalil who is coming to Albany this week-end for my daughter's 3aqiqa. May Allah accept your tremendous effort and make it pure and sincere for his own sake, ameen, ameen.

 

N.B. If any body else from Albany NY area wans to donate more clothes for this good cause, please bring it with you to the 3aqiqa. Jazakum Allah khayr.
