Afterinstalling the latest updates to Windows 10 LTSB every time I rebooted and logged in windows would say that it couldn't log me into my profile and I had been logged into a temporary profile instead. I was able to log into my regular profile in safe mode and go one by one re-enabling non-microsoft services to see which one was causing the problem. As soon as I re-enabled MBARW the problem came back. I uninstalled it and now my machine is fine.

same here, noticed on Win10x64 Home and Win7x64 Home (local profiles)

I guess it has something to do with the locking of the ntuser.dat hives,

In some cases it seems ntuser.dat is locked too early, so it can not be accessed when logging in

this happens especially when a user logs into the machine which normally doesn't, and then the "daily default user" tries to re-login again (but not in every case, a bit confusing)

booting into safe mode and rebooting again fixes the problem once

1.) Download arwlogs.exe to an Administrator desktop of the system in question.

2.) Right-click the arwlogs.exe icon and select "Run as administrator". A zipped archive should soon be generated to the Administrator desktop.

3.) Rather than email the archive as the tool directs, please attach the archive to your next reply in this topic.

Windows 11 is the next major version of the Windows operating system (OS) that Microsoft has just released. The launch of this OS marks exactly six years since the company last released a new version of windows. Microsoft has not released another version of Windows for quite some time because Windows 10 was a continuously updated operating system.

The newly released Windows 11 has all the power and security of Windows 10 with a redesigned and refreshed look. It also comes with new tools, sounds, and apps. Every detail has been considered. All of it comes together to bring you a refreshing experience on your PC.

Most Windows 10 PCs currently being sold will be able to upgrade to Windows 11. For the PC to be able to upgrade to Windows 11, it must meet the minimum hardware specifications and specific hardware is required for some features. The upgrade rollout plan is still being finalized but is scheduled to begin late in this year and continue into 2022. Specific timing will vary by device.

If your existing Windows 10 PC is running the most current version of Windows 10 and meets the minimum hardware specifications it will be able to upgrade to Windows 11. The upgrade rollout plan is still being finalized, but for most devices already in use today, we expect it to be ready sometime in early 2022. Not all Windows 10 PCs that are eligible to upgrade to Windows 11 will be offered to upgrade at the same time. To see if your PC is eligible to upgrade, download the PC Health Check app. Once the upgrade rollout has started, you can check if it is ready for your device by going to Settings/Windows Updates.

Upgrades to Windows 11 will begin to roll out late this year and continue into 2022. During this time, we will be doing some behind the scenes testing and validating for your specific PC. Windows Update will provide an indication if and when your PC is eligible. You can check to see by going to Settings/Windows Update.

An update can consist of bug and security fixes and new features in a version of Windows. They tend to roll out throughout the year. An upgrade is when you change versions, for example moving from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Or moving editions from Windows Home to Windows Pro.

The free upgrade offer does not have a specific end date for eligible systems. However, Microsoft reserves the right to eventually end support for the free offer. This end date will be no sooner than one year from general availability.

No. New Windows and Windows 10 require approximately the same amount of disk space. During the upgrade process, however, extra space is required. Windows will clean up this extra disk space about ten days after the upgrade is complete.

Most devices available for purchase now will be upgradeable to Windows 11. Look for devices that indicate that they are eligible for the upgrade. You can also ask your retail sales professional or the PC manufacturer (OEM) to confirm. Please note, after Windows 11 is released, Windows Update will confirm when the free upgrade is available for your PC. ISP fees may apply for any upgrade occurring in locations with metered internet.

The free upgrade offer does not have a specific end date for eligible systems. While Microsoft reserves the right to eventually end support for the free offer, now that Windows 11 is available to the public, the free upgrades will be supported for at least one year after general availability.

The upgrade to Windows 11 is for the same edition as you have on your Windows 10 device. Devices with Windows 10 Pro installed will be upgraded to Windows 11 Pro. Devices running Windows 10 Enterprise will upgrade to Windows 11 Enterprise. Windows 11 Pro will not offer Windows 11 Pro in S mode, so you will need to switch out of S mode to upgrade.

An update is a change within a version of a Windows product. For example, moving from Windows 10, version 2004 (the Windows 10 May 2020 Update) to Windows 10, version 20H2 (the Windows 10 October 2020 Update). An upgrade is when you change OS versions, for example moving from Windows 10 to Windows 11, or when you upgrade to a higher edition within the same OS version (e.g., Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro).

Windows 10 remains supported through October 14, 2025, as originally announced at its launch. Customers using long term service releases (LTSC and LTSB) will continue to be supported through those published end of support dates.

Most devices available for purchase now will be upgradeable to Windows 11. You will have the option to upgrade, clean install, or reimage Windows 10 devices to move to Windows 11. For Windows 7 devices that meet hardware requirements, you will need to clean install or reimage to go directly to Windows 11.

Windows 11 provides a familiar modern and refreshed interface that helps increase productivity and enhances the collaboration experience for end users while maintaining consistent management for IT managed devices.
