CP / Beta Readers for Mythological Literary Fiction

Hi all,

I am Aliza and I’m looking for a CP with whom I can exchange manuscripts.

Age: Adult

Genre: Historical fiction, literary fiction

Blurb: My book is a literary retelling of the myth of the Greek hero Herakles, focusing on the events leading to his death (this is my first attempt at a full-length book, so I don’t have an agent).

Last book I read: Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa's The Leopard.

Book that I keep coming back to as a reader (not sure what it says about me): Gabriel García Márquez’s One Hundred Years of Solitude. My style / approach is also deeply informed by authors such as Robert Graves, Mary Renault, Marguerite Yourcenar, Gore Vidal, Toni Morrison, and Salman Rushdie, not to mention ancient authors and texts that serve as inspiration and source material (the Homeric epics, Virgil, Ovid, the Greek and Roman tragedians, etc.).
