Booking Beta Reads—$5 per 1k words—for April | Freelance Editor & Literary Agent

Hi All,
I am booking beta reads for April. Of all the editorial work I do, beta reading is my favorite. I never have enough beta reads on my calendar, so I try to keep the price affordable. I beta read fiction (mostly fantasy, historical fiction, sci-fi, and YA) and nonfiction (mostly memoirs or self-help) at $5 per 1,000 words with a two-week turnaround. I prefer full manuscripts but will book partials as well. As someone who has read thousands of queries and sample chapters, my feedback is honest and critical, but I'm not afraid to point out what is working.
You'll receive a reader's report/editorial letter—breaking down major and minor critiques with special distinction between subjective and objective feedback. For a full manuscript this typically runs 8 to 20 pages depending on how many in-line issues I flag as examples.
I'm a junior literary agent at Booker Albert Literary and a freelance editor with 3+ years in the publishing industry. I have a BA in Professional Writing from Pensacola Christian College, I'm a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association, a professional critiquer on Critique Match Pro, and a judge for both the Editor's Choice Contest and the Fiction Five Contest.
