to Critique Partner Matchup
Hello!

I am about 40,000 words into my contemporary romance novel. It's a slow-burn/small-town Christmas themed romance. Some of the second half is written, and it's all outlined. I'd love some feedback before I hammer out that second half, because I feel like I'm getting stuck on some details.

I mostly read contemporary, but I have recently started reading fantasy romance, and I want to try historical as well. I think I would like most romance sub-genres (including YA), but I want to be up-front: I have primarily read adult/contemporary, so that is what I will be able to provide the best feedback on.

I am new to writing but my goal is self-publishing or getting a traditional publishing deal by the end of 2021. I want to submit to pitch wars this year if I can get a polished manuscript completed in time. I would LOVE to find a long-term critique partner, or better yet, writing group.

My ideal writing group:
-writers who have goals of (or have already published) romance novels
-newbies who haven't published, and who are new to social media/marketing/querying/etc.
-experienced/published authors who are interested in mentoring
-a supportive group that will keep me motivated/disciplined to hit my writing goals
-updates/advice/goal-setting/swapping chapters/etc (weekly, monthly, anything!)
-monthly vid calls in the future if we get to know each other/feel comfortable (just an idea! If this sounds horrible to you please don't disregard, I'm fine with just doing facebook group or something lol)
-bonus: romance book club too, because I'm assuming we all read a lot!?

Just spitballing some ideas :) email me directly (kellymor...@gmail.com) if you want to be my critique partner, or if you would be interested in a group like this. If there are at least 5 people interested I'll make a facebook group.

Thank you!!
