Hi y'all!
My name is Beck and I'm looking for a critique partner for my 92K YA fantasy novel. I am currently querying it but only getting rejections so I am looking for some more feedback to see if I can improve it in any way.
About the book:
To save his mom's life, Eren must find the Homebringer--a half-Fae who can open a portal to Avalon. He's sent to the Ashwood family to find out their secrets, but falling for one of them is not part of his plan. Uncovering the truth, he must choose between saving his mom and betraying his fated mate.
--LGBTQIA+ normative world (trans MC)
--Fated mates with a twist
--Found family
--Elemental powers
--YA Wolfsong meets faeries
--Cottagecore atmosphere
--Cozy fantasy with high personal stakes
I am open to a full beta read or just someone who can read a few chunks of it and talk with me about if the story is missing anything. Open to providing feedback as well, however I don't have a lot of time to do a full beta read. I could read a few chapters at a time or talk concepts and story, though! I love helping the plot development of a book. I really love to help others fine-tune their ideas.
Let me know if this is a good fit for you!
Thanks!
Beck (they/them)
