Hello!
Ember is a young woman engaged to the kingdom’s Crown Prince and about to face her Allocation ceremony - a right of passage that citizens must face after their twenty-fifth birthday to reveal their magic. Things, of course, don’t go to plan, and she must flee everything she has ever known to avoid execution. By doing so, she learns of a secret civilisation preparing for war. A war that places her on the opposite side of her family and everyone she has ever loved.
I am revising my first novel - a New Adult Romantasy set in a fictional world - and am looking for critique partners to help me get the book as strong as possible before I start querying agents (I don't currently have an agent).
The most recent book I loved was The Heat of the Everflame, and before that, I read One Dark Window/Two Twisted Crowns which I thoroughly enjoyed. But I am an avid fantasy reader, though I definitely lean towards Romantasy.
