Starting a Discord for Comtemporary Romance and RomComs

Hi there!

I am setting up The Pink Cover Club, a discord for contemporary romance and romcom writers who are looking toward traditional publishing.

For some reason I have found it super hard to find a community writing within these genres as a lot of groups are now mostly focussed on dark/horror romance or romantacy.

I am setting up the discord as an industry-focussed safe space to talk to other writers about the writing, drafting and editing stages, the querying trenches and anything else that comes with the territory of trying to get traditionally published as a cont romance / romcom author.

There is no real commitment. Although it would be nice to create a little community, I understand that most of us juggling writing with other responsibilities.

There is a Sunday Check-in where you can just say hi, talk about wins that week, whether you hit your writing goals or not and what you are hoping to have done by next sunday (basically a little bit of accountability).

I am happy to see authors with all skill levels, agented, unagented, published, still plotting (or pantsing) etc etc.

I also have special categories and channels for writers in every stage of their career including published authors (which are locked and invisible to all members except for published authors).

I have just set this up today so I only have a few members but we all need to start somewhere.

Because this is romance and because some authors might have an 'open door policy' this discord will be 18+.
