Alternating narratives follow these researchers as they grapple with the scale and ethics of this development, and the people inside the simulation, across a thousand years of history on an Earth altered by the researcher’s attempts to observe it. The story visits the Islamic Golden Age, Song Dynasty China, Renaissance Italy, and Victorian Era England.

Feedback on plotting, pacing, story structure, characters, and character arcs. General impression stuff like did it work for you as a book? What's not working? What is working? Any parts confusing? Any and all feedback is welcome.
Would be great to get feedback within two weeks, but I understand if it takes longer. Open to critique swaps under 100k words. I love the genres listed in the title as well as literary fiction, fantasy, anything really.
