Hi! My name is Beck, and I'm a trans non-binary writer seeking feedback on my 96K YA Paranormal Romance, which explores the journey of discovering where you belong and the fall from lovers to enemies.

Featuring a transgender and neurodivergent main character, it explores themes of queer sexual discovery, the desire to fit in, and the longing to be a hero for those you love.

What if you had to betray your fated mate?

To save his mom’s life, Eren must find the Homebringer—a half-Fae who can open a portal to Avalon. He’s sent to the Ashwood family to find out their secrets but falling for one of them is not part of his plan. Uncovering the truth, he must choose between betraying his fated mate and saving his mom.

Tropes:

❤️‍🔥Fated mates

🫂Found family

💀Touch-him-and-die

🌊Elemental magic

🔥Quick burn

🗡️Lovers-to-enemies

🧚🏻GAY FAERIES

CW:

Trans dysphoria

Parental death (off-page)

Teen sexual exploration (non-explicit)

I would love some long-term beta readers/critique partners who also write in the queer fantasy genre. I'm looking for feedback on overall story, plot, and characters—what seems to be missing and what doesn’t fit, with a 4-6 week turnaround.

As a critique partner, I am a reader in your circle, rooting for you to write the best book that you can. I can provide in-depth feedback for character arcs, plot development, and worldbuilding. I can only critique other fantasy novels, as that is what I read and write, as I do not have much knowledge of other genres (Romantasy is fine!).

We can communicate by email, Discord, or social media DMs; whichever is easier for the type of feedback you're looking for.

Thanks for reading!

Beck
