With Belmont High School graduation only weeks away, Madeline’s on top of the world as the valedictorian. She’s surrounded by good friends, a loyal boyfriend, and has a promising future in medicine, even if the career choice is driven by her controlling mother. As a result, she becomes a famous influencer practically overnight. Suddenly, premed doesn’t look so enticing, and Madeline secretly changes her college major to musical theatre.
Mr. Mason continues his support, and the pair spend increasingly more time together, slipping into forbidden romance territory. Madeline’s jealous ex threatens to expose the relationship, not just to Madeline’s mother but also to school officials before graduation. Madeline must set aside the opinions of others, develop an unwavering belief in herself, and take responsibility for her past as well as her future in order to claim a life she’s passionate about with the man she loves.
