Hi all! New here and new to this!
Looking for critique partners for a children's adventure story (working title: Coral Flyer). Set on a tropical island chain in a "adventure age of flight" setting, it follows Bonnie the Rabbit and Bryan the Badger, a seaplane pilot and mechanic duo, who connect scattered islands. The story follows the duo as they prepare for the tourist season, but must respond as a storm-driven emergency evacuation tests the pair's courage and resourcefulness.
Themes: courage as action despite fear, mentorship, found family, community resilience.
Looking for feedback on pacing, emotional beats, and whether it lands with the right tension for a younger audience.
Open to swaps. Manuscript is roughly 11k words and ready to share.
