Long-term CP for Dark Fantasy/Horror-esque MS Swap

Hi there,

I'm looking for a critique partner to help me out with beta reading my latest draft of my dark fantasy genre book, Death's Rising. It is roughly 78k words, 44 chapters, and dual perspectives (two protagonists). I'm versed in genres like fantasy (urban, high, dark, etc), sci-fi, horror, and mystery. I'm primarily looking for feedback on developmental and plot aspects. My two protagonists are both LGBTQ+, and I am a queer author, so of course I'm fond of other LGBTQ works.

Synopsis:

Symon isolated himself from the world for the past two years, living a life where he did the only thing he knew how to do: hunt. When a new mutation is on the rise in beasts around Altharese, he has to return to his past and friends he thought he’d never see again. With the help of new and old allies, Symon must figure out what caused this gruesome epidemic of mutagens and put a stop to it.

Celene, tired of being cast into the archive’s shadow and wanting retribution for what she lost, works alongside the hunters of Altharese. While delving into the mutation mystery emerging in beasts, she has her own double agent vendetta to set place for her own malice. She has to keep her benefactor and the hunters unaware of her schemes to achieve her goal. But Celene finds it increasingly difficult to hide her true motives as she assists the hunters, compassion she thought was long buried returning to haunt her morals.

Together, they embark on a journey full of blood, organs, and insanity. Both must learn how to adapt and survive each beast they encounter, and find a solution to end the rise of the mutagen before it devours more than just Altharese. Tensions and worries rise at every corner they turn and dead end they hit. Their adversaries and investigation eventually lead them to an ultimate betrayal after all is unfolded.
