to Critique Partner Matchup
Hi friends,

I am looking for critique partners interested in creating a collaborative partnership where we feel supported and inspired in our writing.

I hope to connect with some romantasy/romance writers who are eager in diving into each others work, offer support, suggestions, and thoughtful feedback.

I have just finished my first novel, which is a slow-burn romance focused on world-building, the discovery of magic, and a recurring competition that is causing deep divisions within the kingdom. I have read, re-read, edited, and edited again. However, I am know I may be missing areas hat need clarity and of course have blind spots in my writing. I need fresh eyes!

Blurb of my piece:

The Kingdom of Seylinali has been crippled by the Witches’ curse for nearly five hundred years. Monarchs are bound to the throne, and war threatens to ignite at any moment as the Triad continues. Every eighty years, all Occultists who have ascended in power must compete in a series of trials. The victors will break the Witches’ curse.

So far, all this competition has brought is death and anger.

The Wall stands at the edge of her world—separating mortals from the magical creatures beyond, concealing their existence. RaeLynn Vyrathal, nearing the end of her tenure as a guard, questions her path forward. She is unaware of her true power, her heritage, and that her future has already been decided. She’s to participate in a tournament she’s never heard of, for a kingdom she doesn’t know exists.

Triggers:

Descriptions of violence, death, and explicit sexual content.

If you love discussing relationship development, descriptive writing, and world building, I think we could be a good fit.

Please send me some information about you and your book --I look forward to connecting!

All my best,
Flynn
