Final year med student with time to read before graduation. Strong background in the sciences and was an English minor in college. Published two short stories in anthologies and a few academic articles.

In 2076 California, struggling single mom and washed-up bounty hunter Veronica Verduzco becomes an unwilling celebrity after a strip-mall fight with a mutated fugitive goes viral. A health tech mogul hires her as his bodyguard/publicity stunt for a “biological internet” meant to link minds, but the launch catastrophically unleashes cannibalistic aberrations worldwide. As society fractures into denial, hero-worship, and propaganda, Veronica and her family are hunted by both neighbors and monsters alike, forcing her to choose between her daughter’s survival and the fate of civilization.
