Hey everyone,

I've been working on this novel for several months and it's currently at 65k. I'd like to beef up the word count over the next couple of edits. I want to get it to about 80k if that's possible, 70k minimum. Other than word count, I don't really have any specific edits I'm looking for, just whatever you think it might need.

I'm currently a sophomore in college and I'm majoring in history I think lol. I'm currently reading Lore by Alexandra Bracken and I'm really enjoying that. My favorite reads lately are probably Priory of the Orange Tree and anything by Rick Riordan.

Here's my summary:

Calliope has been raised to hate witches. They are a blight upon humanity that needs to be eradicated as soon as possible. Luckily for her, her kind has been hunting the witches and will be holding a mass burning to rid themselves of the creatures. What Calliope doesn't know is that this collective action will have massive consequences that will change her life forever.

Sam has been raised to hate humans. They have sought to destroy her kind and rip her from her family for generations, causing her family to go into hiding where they wouldn't be found. But Sam's family was found, and her family was burned.

These witch burnings, seen from one side as a miracle and the other as a tragedy, brought upon the world creatures who could tear the world apart if humans and witches don't unite against them. These creatures force Calliope and Sam together and face their prejudices, giving them the choice to either defend their world or watch it fall.
