to Critique Partner Matchup
Hello there, I am currently 73k words into the second draft of a story that is looking to be at least 120k, if not 150k. this is my first novel, and I have yet to have any eyes on any of the story at all, and I feel it is really holding this story back.

If I were to try to summarize the story, it would be something like this:
Erika Shadowdrake, despondent and guilt-ridden merchant's daughter, finds herself caught up in a conspiracy of unknown proportions when she is kidnapped and sold to the 'Handed-ones', a group of secretive traders who speak only in sign language, on her 19th birthday. In order to unravel this conspiracy, she must face truths she has been hiding from, as well as lies staring her in the face, like why the person guarding her, the legendary feared assassin 'The Blade of Smoke', looks so much the ex-girlfriend she betrayed, the Princess Sarah. Erica's understanding of herself and the world will never be the same after this, as she unravels the chains of lies and love that led her here, in "Chains of Dragon Blood and Silent Love, Book One: Foundational Scars".

The last book I read that I loved was Neil Gaiman's "Neverwhere", and the book I think epitomizes me is "The Knife of Never Letting Go" by Patrick Ness.

Ideally, I am looking for a long term partnership. You don't have to be in love with my story as I am, but I would be so happy if you could stick around for a bit. I will do my best to give you my best critique in return. I've been writing for a number of years, and even tried to get a bachelors in creative writing, though I had to drop that halfway through, so I have experience critiquing and writing. I think I am best at ensuring consistency in details, and making sure you are not over or under doing anything you are trying to portray to the reader. What I am looking for from a critique partner is someone who can tell me if I am accomplishing what I am setting out to do, whether I describe scenes in enough detail, if my side characters are too flat, and if my background lore is informing my writing or if it is too opaque or complicated.

Really hoping to hear from you!
