-rent is 650 for each month with utilities included. that's an outrageous deal, considering the size of the room: 10x13 (130 sq feet). and don't worry, you're not sharing it with anyone. i've got an empty dresser for you to use as well as a desk if you need to use it. there's plenty of light options (granted, they are clamp lamps) in the room, or you can hang out in the common living area that has access to the fire escape. there's
no smoking in the apartment, but there's a fire escape that we can hang
out on if you want to smoke (don't know if you smoke or not, but my
roommates do)
-in addition to those things, we have a SECOND shared space. (i know, its hard to believe). that is affectionately known as the music room (we're all classically trained musicians) and is our place to practice/work/build weird electronic noise making gizmos and whatnot. you're welcome to use it as well (maybe you also need a place to practice besides your bedroom), but since we all share it, we make sure to check in about using it whenever.
-5th floor walk up - but we live right across the street from prospect park (the windows look out onto the park!)
-Q
and B train (parkside stop) is also across the street (Q runs express
through manhattan except late night and weekends, B runs express from
brooklyn to 59th st in manhattan - but only runs on weekdays) (that means its about 20 minutes into Manhattan and transfers to all the major lines at Atlantic-Pacific)
-there's laundry and groceries across the street
-did i mention that park is literally across the street?!
the roommates i live with are a committed monogamous hetero couple that are super laid back and great. both work during the day times and then are back home around 6 or 7 and typically hang out in the living room, if they're not out seeing a concert or playing a show themselves.
