Critical Massive is a volunteer-produced arts festival for the members of the Pacific Northwest Burner Community. For an entire week in July, we gather for art, workshops, music, self-expression, silliness, and, of course, fire. Likened to a "Burner Resort," Critical is a week of camping in the idyllic Pacific Northwest summer weather with over 700 like-minded individuals there to enjoy themselves, each other, and the art. The event is sponsored by Ignition Northwest who gives local artists $10,000+ in grants for work they bring to the festival as well as $1500+ for workshops.

So what does volunteer-produced mean? It means the entire festival is made possible by the efforts of, well, all of us. The production team wants your input, your ideas, your skills, and your participation. That starts at the first public meeting, where the event will really begin to take shape. Here we will discuss the event dates, theme, and location and begin to assemble team leads and ideas for the festival. This is also a great place for you to bring questions or comments about the event.  Critical keeps getting bigger and better every year, and this year will be no exception. We look forward to seeing you at our first Public Meeting.
