I think , in addition to the Critical Mass Google group (which
doesn't seem to have alot of traffic unfortunately) there needs to be
one specific site where CM participants and supporters can go to ask
questions like these of each other, and collect truthful firsthand
accounts of what happened at each ride, as well as to throw around some
new ideas. It would be good if this were linked to the CM Winnipeg
website. Sifting through all the blogs to get these answers is alot of
work- I'm sure I must have missed a bunch, no matter how I tried to
find them; and also when I've left questions at various sites, the
traffic has died down and they sometimes didn't get answered. I think
we need to organise ourselves so that we can mount an effective
resistance to misinformation, and respond as a cohesive unit to certain
issues that are bound to come up (as in, what will we do in regard to
busses passing us? Turning? What do we do if there's a police
blockade? etc.). I think this is still in keeping with the leaderless
aspect of the movement, but that we will be more prepared, united, and
knowlegeable.

This forum should be open for debate, and I think should be open to
detractors, as long as they are making meaningful arguments. This is a
living movement and as such, there's no need to remain ridgid. If a
particular aspect is not working, we can improve it.

I think a traditional forum format, devoted to CM Winnipeg, organised
with a seperate heading for each ride, as well as a seperate heading
per major issue that comes up in each ride (such as traffic violation,
police brutality, making videotapes and photos, etc) where anyone could
start a thread, and anyone could add a comment, would be ideal.

I really appreciate the CM Winnipeg main webpage's cataloguing of all
the articles that come out in the mainstream media about CM. It's a
very useful resource. I like the links to the blogs, but individual
blogs are too scattered to really explore the issues we need adress.
This google group is useful as a communication tool between the CM reps
and the police, but there seems to be little discussion going on, and
when new ideas are proposed, they don't seem to get much follow up. I
think it would be a good idea to amalgamate all these resources, or at
least have a clear directory of resources.

Does anyone know how to start this, or where to host it? Anyone with
more computer knowlege than me willing to take charge of figuring that
stuff out?
