We continually update the news slider on our website's homepage with recent news, publications and NIBBLEs. We are excited about a recent publication by Wei et al in Critical Care Medicine that looked at the effect of nutritional adequacy on long term outcomes (click here for the PubMed link). The authors concluded that improved nutritional intake in the first week in the ICU was associated with longer survival time and faster physical recovery at 3 months but not 6 months following ICU discharge in patients requiring prolonged mechanical ventilation.
