Hi all,

Anyone using a protein intake of 2.5 g/kg/d when a critically Ill,
ventilated patient requiring
Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy?
Both enteral and parenteral?

Are there any usefull trails to support the use of this feeding
regime?

Thanks.

using or trying to get to 2.5 gm /kg ibw in our obese pt BMI >/= 40
this often requires we hang just a 10% (premie)amino acid formulation
centrally to top up what is achievable/tolerated orally.
We are a smaller community hospital so we don't get this type of pt
too often

Isn't the Peptide Bariatric a good choice for this population as well?
