I just got the SFBC "Biker Bulletin" email newsletter, in which they
mention the recent hubbub over the SFPD "Wiggle Dragnet" where moto-
cops were ticketing cyclists for running the stop sign at Haight &
Scott Sts.

I have a blog entry on the subject, with links to further info/reading/
photos at

http://sfcyclotouring.blogspot.com/2007/05/same-roads-same-rules-same.html

In the "Biker Bulletin" they mention that there's going to be a public
meeting held by the SFPD to discuss the recent "dragnet" and police
enforcement of bicycling in general:

"The police tell us that they're suspending any further "planned"
enforcement efforts until they've had a chance to hear from the public
at a Community Forum on June 19 (Park Branch library on Page Street,
near Cole, June 19, 6:00 pm), on the topic of bicycle traffic safety
and enforcement."

Anybody interested in attending?

I read some various postings about this, too.

All I can say is, Fair is fair. We should stop. Everyone should.
That's why the sign is there.
