Dear CRISPR community,
I performed CRISPR Cas9 knockout of RIG-I and MDA5 in A549 cells. For
control, I used non-targeting sgRNA from Thermofisher Scientific.
After I infect wild-type and CRISPR-control cells with virus, the gene
expressions of both RIG-I and MDA5 are induced. However, the copy
numbers of RIG-I and MDA5 induced in wild-type A549 cells are always
higher than CRISPR control cells. This difference is the same at
protein levels.
Can anyone help me to understand what could be the reason for this?
Thanks and regards,
Shivani Rajoriya.
