Hi All,

I am attempting to extract gDNA from cell pellets using DNAzol, which is a guanidine detergent based product. I get plenty of DNA out of it, with high A260/280 ratios from the Nanodrop Spectrophotometer, however the A260/230 ratios are around 1 most of the time.

Has anyone used DNAzol before and have any tips on how to get cleaner DNA or have any other way to clean this DNA?
I didn't use column based extraction methods as most columns can only start with a relatively small number of cells and it would be too many columns to lyse all the cell pellets that I have.

Thanks,
Mehmet
