Hi all,
This is my second Crowdmap. https://sfbaymayday2012.crowdmap.com/main

I put it up last night when I decided that it would be a better use of my time than driving 200 miles to the Bay Area to be involved in the protests on the ground. As a result of being so last-minute, I didn't have time to get a crew together. If anyone wants to help with this today, let me know and I'll make you an admin. Or just search the #baym1gs tag on Twitter or MSM and post reports.

I realized that doing it this way was a good trial run for using Crowmap in an emergency situation, which by definition will be last-minute and without proper preparation. It takes a bit longer than I thought to get everything dialed-in.

I'm having some problems with the Crowdmap itself. Many things seem buggy. The location markers keep changing, some don't show up on the larger overview reports map and the Twitter hashtag search is an hour behind, rendering it pretty much useless in such a fast-paced environment. It also means I have to manually geolocate events and manually post photos and links to them. Way too slow to be useful.

Cheers.
