What we also need is to tell people who are out in Pakistan and ready to help about:
* Which tools are up and running and how they can help with them
* Which information sources and channels are up and running and how they can help
* Our hints, tips, experiences of running camps if they want to run their own
- the hope is that we'll inform and support as much as we can from here, and do what we can with people over here, but our own interactions with the toolset are going to be limited in scope by the language barrier, so the more local Urdu-speaking campers we can get helping, the better.

Would it be advisable to do a conference call tonight with London, Cambridge and Pak CrisisCommons just to connect efforts for other cities? Tonight - 9pm London time on our conference line?

All I updated the Pakistan Floods CrisisCommons Wiki page with some Crowdsourcing ideas.
Here is a tabulated list of all the Tools in use so far:
http://wiki.crisiscommons.org/wiki/Pakistan/2010_Floods
What we need: (anyone can contribute):
*Education
Short videos, blogs, great websites on Pakistan, her people, personal stories and the education about the geography, politics and history of the affected region. Anyone can add these resources.
*Video from NGO, World Bank or UN group to explain the situation with their knowledge. A quick 3 minute summary would be great.
*Media Resource list
*The media has done some great coverage. Add links so that virtual volunteers can learn.

Ah whoops - just found this email in my inbox (it's been a bit busy in there today).
Might be worth doing a conference call first thing US/ early afternoon UK/ afternoon PK tomorrow. Using http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/meetingtime.html?day=14&month=8&year=2010&p1=136&p2=55&p3=757&p4=776
shows 3pm London is 8am Calgary, 7pm Karachi, 6pm Dubai, for instance - or we could meet at the end of the Cambridge camp to get Silicon Valley in on the call.
Regards,
Sj.
