Wanted to send everyone the final (promise!) data for the
International CrisisCongress hosted b the World Bank, Woodrow Wilson
International Center for Scholars and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.
The Congress will be held in Washington DC on Friday, July 16, 2010
from 9AM - 6PM.
CrisisCamp city leads will be able to request a travel grant (provided
by the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars from a grant
under the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation) for their city to offset costs
to travel to Washington DC.
A travel grant application will be posted on the wiki this week and
will need to be received back by June 5th.
We would like to also create a small group of folks who can help
organize, develop the agenda and support the event as well. Let me
know if you would like to help out.
A quick snapshot of the agenda of the Congress will cover:
1) Lessons learned from crisis events by CrisisCamp city leads
2) Final comment on the Strategic Framework; Roadmap for the Future
3) Development of 3-5 2010-2011 Global Initiatives
A day before the Congress, CrisisCommons in collaboration with the
Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars will host a series of
roundtables with humanitarian organizations (both domestic and
international) and the private sector from 8AM - 3PM at the Woodrow
Wilson Center at the Ronald Reagan Building.
More information will be coming in the next few days. But wanted to
share with you the date and times for July.
Best,
Heather B.
