Hi Jun,

I usually just email Andrew Turner with my comments, but he's kinda used to me now :-).  I suggest you start by submitting to the user feedback pages, but cc them to Andrew just in case that method isn't working yet.

Hi! Thanks for cc'ing me Sara

Andrew: can you confirm that this is the right thing to do and/or the current user feedback methods for CrabGrass?

I have notes inline below:

Dear Sara,

This http://groups.crisiscommons.org is really a fantastic piece of work!

Do you know how, or rather what is the proper way, to contribute feedback on the groups.crisiscommon.org software? I have various comments sucha s:

The Project for discussing the tools and platform is: http://groups.crisiscommons.org/collaborationdev

Let's try to use that if possible.

The code is available at:

You can 'fork it' and push changes to me and then I can deploy them to the server.

-          Change the account language setting into a “Interface Language” setting, and create a Language setting which allows to check several languages.

Do you mean 'Programming Language'? Or actual spoken languages, but able to choose from multiple? One idea we had discussed was being able to 'tag' yourself with skills such as "Ruby, Kreyol, Mobile, Doctor"

-          Change the “Recent Pages” link on group home pages into “Recent Posts”  (it’s a semantic question…)

THis is easy to modify in the config/lang/en.yml and other language files.

-          There are a few glitches which are more technical (like probably browser specific display bugs)

That would be TREMENDOUS if you could help out on these! Thank you!

Should some of these be submitted to the crabgrass user feedback (https://we.riseup.net/users) or to the CrisisCommons group ? Is it proper to simply add a tasklist? I feel like I should first establish contact…  I’ve tried to ping Andrew Turner who seems to be managing this, is he the right person?

The CrabGrass community is very interested in helping out. We just need to connect better into providing them requests and feedback and ways for them to contribute directly back as well.  There probably could be a CrisisCommons group in the CrabGrass site that conveys our current thoughts/ideas/ requests as it affects the underlying platform.

Thank you,
Andrew

Best,

Jun.
