I've got the project spreadsheet from January, and am
- Splitting it into two sheets: projects and evergreens
- Checking that all the projects on the wiki are on the sheets
- Finding contact names for all the projects that don't have one yet
Plan is to parse the csv file and dump out a standard letter for each
project manager. We need to think about what to ask them for, but a start
list could be:
- Status of project: choose from
* not started
* ongoing
* completed
* providing maintenance
* abandoned
- Who you deliver the project results to: organisation (if any) and contact
details
- Where you keep the project deliverables
* github, wiki, local harddrive, other website etc
- Contact details that you're willing to share (email, twitter etc)
- Tasks that still need to be done to complete this project
- Resources that you need for this project
e.g. somewhere to store code, specific skillsets etc
A suggested 'next' to this activity is:
- Any project that we do get a response for will go onto the Projects/SDLC
lists and get management help from the projects WG.
- Any project that we don't get a response for will go into a "naughty bin".
We try again to contact the listed project manager, then we (carefully) try
to contact the customer about it, then we work out together how to handle
the project from here on (e.g. put it back into the "new projects list",
retire it etc).
It'll take me a while to get the lists together, so any comments on the
above in the meantime will be helpful!
Thanks,
Sj.
* CCprojectmanagers - contact details (from wiki.crisiscommons) of everyone
who's been on a project management list
* CCEvergreens - all the evergreen projects in wiki.crisiscommons
* CCProjects - all the other projects in wiki.crisiscommons
Can someone upload these to google docs for me please? And once they're up
there, can people please send me contact details of project managers and
names of projects that we've missed from the list. We will soon be
contacting all the project managers directly to get things like the status
of each project and a list of tasks left to complete it.
Thanks,
Sj.
Give me a few moments please.

I've combined these three files into one with three sheets - everyone
should be able to get to this file via

Watch for line wrap.

Hello Hussain,
and thank you very much for volunteering! Yes please to your offer... it would be very helpful to have a tool like this, because we're going to need to do a lot of project mailshots over time!
Thank you,
Sara.
