Hi folks, Christina M and myself are observing Exercise 24 for CrisisCommons. You may see online traffic with #x24 for Exercise24.org on Friday, September 24 - Saturday, September 25,2010.

Luis Hernando Aguilar from UN OCHA and CrisisCamp Columbia, Luke Beckman from Instedd and David Bitner from Sahana are also participating. Some of you may have met them at CrisisCommons Congress.

We will provide a summary report after the event.

For those of you who may not be aware of it, on Fri Sept 24 and Sat
Sept 25th a disaster exercise will be held in social media channels.
You will see traffic in Facebook, Twitter, blogs and news media.  The
events are a test and not real.  More information will be coming out
from Twitter Corp. soon.  Some social media injects will be tweeted
and retweeted as a part of this exercise.  If you would like to follow
the exercise the hashtag in twitter to follow is #X24 and the twitter
contact to follow is http://twitter.com/exercise24.  The exercise
scenario is for Southern California/Mexico You can find out more at

Exercise24 (X24) is a two-day international collaborative
multidisciplinary exploration that supports communication, logistics
