HI Folks, I owe you an update on community planning.
All of my focus is working on the lessons learned from CrisisCamp Haiti
and Chile. (Documentation and planning for the Sloan Deliverables). Reading the city profiles (thanks for sending responses) is completely inspiring. Your actions and your feedback on lessons learned are helping shape the review.
Next, I will start working on CrisisCamp in a Box. Most of you provided
feedback via surveys, the CrisisCongress and individually. You'll be
hearing more about that in the coming weeks. I will also be asking for inputs on priority lists etc.
I am researching Participatory Learning:how to formulate training, documentation
and other content to make it easier on both CrisisCamp Leads and participants. This was one of your biggest community requests.Mozilla is kindly invited me to join them at the Festival of Learning
next week. I will be blogging for them and collecting open
education and open video help to build Crisis Camp in a Box. More on this event:
http://www.drumbeat.org/drumbeat_festival_2010A community call will occur when I get back.
On a personal note, it is hard to not act and organize for all the major events around the world. Right now, if I focus on the above, I know that we will build on the knowledge and good will to organize and participate more in the future.
