as far as I see neither me nor the people in Munich did manage it last year.
To be honest, without funding or volunteer help, i was kind of powerless.
As the world turns, i think it's more important than ever in context of
current dicussion (see cites below) to bring up a crisiscamp culture.
Anyway, from my point of view and experience for fundraising, this
should be possible to realize.
When we work on projects like that, we use a online project management
(on crowdagency.org). Some of you have accounts, but nothing ever really
happened.
My suggestion would be:
We make a group chat on skype, use etherpad and open up some tasks,
where tasks would be:
* write funding application for EU programme
* find place in Berlin
* get together people in London
* setup crisiscamps europe website
and so forth.
That's the minimum requirement for my organization to be able to work on
that project.
I'd be glad, if some of you agree in that process and we can start soon.
Otherwise: What is your point of view?
See you
P.S.: The number in the subject actually will ref this email into the
corresponding task in my project management, just to mention it, that's
really cool :)

In a speech last week, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said
she’d make available $25 million for a “venture capital approach” to
underwriting new tools to keep the Internet open in repressive nations.
She singled out mobile technologies as increasingly important. But some
observers and developers, while lauding the move, aren’t so sure the
rigid bureaucracy of the State Department can accommodate the approach.

Avaaz is working urgently to "blackout-proof" the protests -- with
secure satellite modems and phones, tiny video cameras, and portable
radio transmitters, plus expert support teams on the ground -- to enable
activists to broadcast live video feeds even during internet and phone
blackouts.
