Hello CrisisCampers!
Back in November, a group of people calling themselves Hurricane Hackers organized online in response to Hurricane Sandy. In the process of forming, they connected with CrisisCommons and among other things, rebooted CrisisCamp Boston. One of things we realized is that CrisisCamps work best to support long-term projects, which is why we're organizing a series of events for 2013! The first CrisisCamp hackathon of 2013 will be held next weekend at the MIT Media Lab on January 19-20.
Come design, code, and learn with other CrisisCampers at the MIT Media Lab. Even if you aren't a software developer there will be plenty to do including sharing experiences and ideas, documenting activity, running social media communications, taking and editing video, organizing future events, etc!
