I do not have the instruction manual or anything on me other than the game disk. I have other computer games like Star Trek: Bridge Commander and Star Trek: Armada II and they do not ask for any kind of registration key. I just have to keep the game CDs in the disk drive. I have to switch them out each time I want to play the other, but I am fine with that.
Is the registration code some where in one of the game disk folders? There seems to be a lot of them. I remember seeing a Sims collection leaflet or something that has a code or codes, but I do not believe this was part of the collection and I am no where near to even be able to search for that leaflet. Can't the computer or disk know it came from Maxis itself? This is not an electronic or digital copy. Thank you.
Hi everyone, I just bought the SimCity 4 deluxe version of the game i even have the receipt and everything and when I put the cd in the computer it asks for the serial at the back of the cd case. First of all, there is no CD case, and second its not on the back of anything. Then in the manual it says that the serial is on the back of the manual yet there is nothing there but the access code to register the game with. I'm absolutely furious because my son picked up an old copy of SimCity 3000 and he had a lot of fun playing with it and I drove pretty far to a local gamestore because most stores around me didn't carry the game anymore. So what am I supposed to do?! Any help is appreciated
It came in a case that looked like a console case, and there were two discs just plopped on top of one another in a spindel, sort of like when you buy blank cds. The access code was only a few digits, while the serial they are looking for is 20 digits. This was a legit store too, Gamestop.
I dont think its an illegal copy.. the cds look real and it came with all authethentic appearance all around, and even had a valid registration number. It cost $19.99 and the title on the front is "Sim City 4 Deluxe Edition" I even registered the product, so technically whats wrong with using a differerent serial just to get it installed if my purchase was missing one? It sounds like the one I bought had the serial swiped from it somehow. How does it come usually, as a sticker maybe? The game literally had dust on it when the guy finally found it, and it took 2 employees to differenciate between "Sim City" and just "The Sims" and another to finally find it 10 minutes later.. this is a 5 year old game after all and like I said, I was really lucky to find this not too far from here.
lol okay i think i figured out what is going on here.. I dont even have a manual with the box art printed on it!! I only have a little black and white guide that says "simcity deluxe edition installment guide" (which has the registration code on the back) and a yellow hint card, so I guess someone swiped that manual with the serial on it. Probably seems odd that I didnt notice it was missing earlier but 1) I never in my life read those things and 2) I was extremely busy trying the game out! *****s at gamestop. My only question now is will my "bad" serial conflict with my being registered when it comes to downloadable content?
I had the exact thing happened to me. I purchased through the web (not from a store) - The Sims2 Fun Family Stuff EP, and the game came without a registration key to install. So I called EA Support (the number they give you in the manual), and spoke to Customer Service Rep, and they emailed me a registration key for the game.
no the game could still be registered fine because I still got a registration number in my package. Unfortunately im running into another problem but Im thinking its my computer and the only way I can play is to system restore and reinstall over and over again.
If this still doent's work, I would advise you to contact EA. If you registered the game, you are eligible for technical assistance and if you give them the code that is on your disc (It usually begins with MX i think) It's right above where is says "Disc 1/2". I did this before with a sims game and I got the no.s.
I have a physical copy of SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition. Mine is exactly like the one described by dogma555, with the two discs on a tall spike. It was packaged with a white booklet titled "SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition Install Guide." If this is the white book you're referring to, the activation code is not found in it. I found mine at the very top of the back cover of the other thicker glossy booklet. This one:
Edit: seems the link below the one for retrieve password brings up a registration statement (Terms of Agreement), and clicking the (blue) accept button takes you to the registration form
Yepp, I ran into the same problem. I had to purge half of my google account (at least the passwords) due to a lost laptop, and I forgot to save this password elsewhere and only after this I realized that I can try to retrieve my password, but I won't get any confirmation email from them. Than when I want to make a new account, the invitation code came accross, but it doesn't matter if you can not get an email from them. So I gave up, and if I need something I ask somebody to download some stuffs for me and send it over.
The internet is China is super locked-down and in all likelihood the rules on registration are to comply with some law there. Most content there was collated from other SC4 sites around the world and uploaded without permission. Precisely because it's hard for many Chinese users to access sites outside of China in the first place. It's perhaps then a little ironic that such a setup has managed to retain a lot of content, that has otherwise gone missing from the original legitimate sources.
the login problem on simcitychina.com comes from the internal links on the site, which you click on. The internal links have not been updated with the new site address (before SimCity.cn and now simcitychina.com) so it is necessary to copy the link and change the beginning of the address. Example, I am login and I am on the thread -78973-1-1.html and in the post there is an internal link that I want to go to -78356-1-2.html if I click on it, I come to the link but not identified, so I copy the address, I change the beginning ( -78356-1-2.html) and paste it in the address bar of the browser. It's constraining but it works.
Has anyone had any luck signing in to SimCity CHINA? I can't even find out how to get an activation code, much less the riddle to this question: "please use 5 capital letters answer what 'the sims vs. sims 4 development group name' is". Very frustrating. Unable to sign up. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
simcity is a really nice game. really hope that the online service works better now. There were a lot of problems with building simultanouisly on a Great Work. My status report said it was finished, my friends report was that it had to start construction! If this is fixed, im definitely gonna play again.
Love it!

Many brand owners have already conducted an audit to ensure that their existing trade mark registrations provide sufficient protection for the metaverse (both from an offensive and defensive perspective).
Given that uncertainty, some brand owners are pursuing strategies of extending their existing brand registrations to cover the equivalent virtual equivalents. Filing activity for metaverse-related goods/services to date has been predominantly in the US and in first-to-file jurisdictions (for example, China). There has been a huge rise in such applications.
Federal registration, however, can provide trade mark owners with a powerful enforcement tool, particularly if the registration is of sufficient scope to encompass goods and/or services being promoted or sold as NFTs or on virtual reality platforms.
In this ideal text, the networks are many and interact, without any of them being able to surpass the rest; this text is a galaxy of signifiers, not a structure of signifieds; it has no beginning; it is reversible; we gain access to it by several entrances, none of which can be authoritatively declared to be the main one; the codes it mobilizes extend as far as the eye can see ...' 11
if X is killed in scene 4 then X cannot be alive in scene 5.To an extent then, the proairetic code embodies something of the Cultural codes, the code of knowledge. The proairetic code is the code of knowledge about time, and it is the certainties of this knowledge which interactivity appears to throw into question. There is a parallel between the interactive narrative and the electronic spreadsheet. The linear narrative is to the interactive narrative what the ledger is to the spreadsheet. Both inter active narrative and spreadsheet are 'what if?' engines. Both create the space for multiple parallel time. The best illustration of the problem o the proairetic code in interactive narrative is given by changing one of the numbers in a spreadsheet doing a recalculate, and watching the changes multiply and ripple across the whole sheet.
