Unreal Tournament is an arena first-person shooter, with head-to-head multiplayer deathmatches being the primary focus of the game. The single-player campaign is a series of arena matches played with bots, where the player competes for the title of Grand Champion.[3] The player moves up the tournament ladder in order to challenge the current champion, Xan Kriegor, a mysterious being with exceptional skill.[4] Also available is a practice mode, in which, as its name implies, the player practices a match. Match settings (such as score and time limits) can be customized. Also available are "mutators", which drastically alter gameplay aspects, such as "InstaGib", which makes players compete with instant-kill Shock Rifles instead of the normal weapons.[5] Weapons include the Enforcer, the Rocket Launcher and the Ripper, which fires ricocheting blades. Each weapon has two firing modes which have different effects: for example, Rippers can also fire non-ricocheting blades that explode on impact. A special weapon is the Redeemer, which fires a miniature nuke and causes a very large and powerful explosion.[6]
The constant battles caused many casualties, reducing the already diminishing human population. One battle in particular caused the creation of the tournament, when Axon Research Corporation raided Izanagi's facility and retrieved the advanced Plasma Ion Tank being developed. This subterfuge started a huge chain of events which would make "consensual murder" legal.
You should try to switch to another Renderer, try OpenGL. If you cannot access the game anymore you can change the Render by modifying the UnrealTournament.ini in located at "unreal/system/unrealtournament.ini" you should change the following line:
OldQueryPortNumber will get saved to the current value of the query portnumber. If the port number changes, the server will quit - and restart automaticallyif you are using an appropriate batch file (see http:\unreal.epicgames.com\utservers.htm).
The editor included with this patch is the current version of the C++ UnrealEd. You'll find it as "unrealed.exe". This is an EXPERIMENTAL version ... If you want to use it, you can, but be aware that certain things are broken or lacking. If you click on something and it doesn't work, it's probably not implemented yet.

There is a mod being created by Zynthetic over at www.unrealsp.org that will give RTNP:UE coop support. It is actually already finished, but Zyn has not released it yet (other maps are being supported as well with his mod). I will definitely make an announcement when it happens.
