Finding average wall shear stress in Paraview

Hi all,

I've successfully imported a CFD artery simulation into Paraview. I'm trying to find the time averaged wall shear stress but I'm having trouble setting this up. My current understanding is that data comes into Paraview as a wall shear stress vector for each vertex at each time point. I've tried just averaging all these vectors but this includes all of the interior vertices and I don't think it accounts for the variation in element area.

Does anyone know how to go about this? I haven't had much luck with the Paraview documentation so any additional information would be appreciated as well!
