Its sad that a majority
of the network members cant be drawn to give views on the
subject matter- fortunately its their right but
unfortunately, its killing more HRCC.

we will march and deliver a petition to Speaker of the
National Assembly demanding that MSB not be sold. We will
congregate at Area 18 roundabout at 700 am. Thereafter we
will march to Capital Hotel roundabout make a uturn and
proceed to the National Assembly where a petition will be
read aloud and delivered to the Speaker of Parliament Hon
Richard Msowoya. Thereafter we shall proceed to Capital
Hotel roundabout make a uturn and proceed to the traffic
light make a left turn and proceed to Lilongwe City Assembly
where another petition will be read out and deliverwd to
Secretary of the Treasury Dr Ronald Mangani. Thereafter the

was established with the value and objectives of promoting
civil and political rights and as a response to the need
for driving the democratization process and its attendant
constitutional and human rights awareness. As a Network ,
HRCC seeks to  harmonize the interventions of human rights
and Governance CSOs and NGOs and taking advantage of
economies of scale, reducing duplication, and maximizing efficiency gains in
programming as well as resource mobilization. HRCC
operates on principles of flexibility by allowing member
institutions to pursue additional mandates outside the HRCC
legal mandate as long as these are complimentary to the work

Dear Robert, Billy Mayaya et al,

Congratulations on a successful and peaceful March Against the Sale of MSB conducted
yesterday, 15th May.

If the MSB Toxic list circulating on the social media is authentic then the March could
not have been conducted at a better time! There are numerous questions that need answers
by the concerned persons! Otherwise government would be committing an unforgivable sin
it it bails out the bank/the debtors!

The company that owes the Bank the most had several running commercial entities in this
country and one wonders why it was not able to service its loans at MSB! Something is
not adding up and indeed Malawians need answers before the bailout is effected.

Robert I hope you do appreciate the sad fact most NGOs are closed due to lack of funding
hence internet access would be a nightmare to them This is why there was not much
contribution in thoughts towards the Marching Debate! It is not that they have no
interest in national issues!
