Not all games support the online ID change feature, and issues could occur in some PS4 games after changing your online ID. This article explains what issues you could experience, and a list of PS4 games that have been tested with the online ID change feature.
The sections below describe some of the common issues that were identified from testing the games listed on the Games List with the online ID change feature. However, we do not guarantee that all issues were found. Games which have no known issues identified in the list may still experience issues if you change your online ID.
All PS4 games originally published on or after 1st April 2018 have been developed to support the online ID change feature, but we do not guarantee that they are fully compatible with the feature. As such, games published on or after April 1, 2018 are not included in the Games List, unless an issue with such a game was reported and confirmed before July 10 2019.

After changing your online ID, please check all your games immediately for data loss or disruption to gameplay. If you experience any issues, you can change back to a previous online ID without charge by following our "Resolve Online ID issues" guide below. Please be aware that changing back to a previous online ID may not fix all issues (for example, you may not recover all, or any, lost content, progress, and functionality). We recommend that if you want to change back to a previous online ID, do so as soon as possible, because it may affect content, game progress, and functionality associated with your new online ID.

If you have a game in this category, we do not recommend changing your online ID if you wish to continue playing that game without losing its entitlements and achievements which you have already bought or released. It is possible to incur permanent game errors or data loss as a result of using the feature.

Modern Warfare's multiplayer servers continue to experience launch issues, as now expected from any major video game's opening week. I purchased the router yesterday but everytime I try the Ping Heatmap for Warzone or Modern Warfare it says failed. I tried restarting the router and resycing the cloud. I've googled the problem, found others have mentioned this problem and tried their solutions but nothing seems to help. Is this a known issue?
Thanks for posting, we're well aware of this problem. Activision appear to be updating their server information almost daily at the moment, this means we then need to make an update everyday to keep up with it. It's probably just due to the fact we're getting close to Vanguard so they're doing lots of maintenance. We'll push another update today and continue to look into a more permanent solution to the problem.
For those who are reading this and still looking for answers, the heatmap works perfectly but if a game shows up blank, just give it 1-2 days and check back. They will go silent whenever Activision is messing with their servers or if they are having server issues but the saved IP addresses will still work until it comes back updated.
